I'm working on two broad subject areas; 1. purely abstract artworks, mainly focused on colour interactions; and 2. semi-abstracted landscapes.
I'm particularly interested in the edge between abstraction and representation; the edges of colours and how they interact harmoniously or contrast with one another; and the physical edge of the paint – how it can be softly blended, sharply delineated, crudely intermixed or overlaid.
I also like the accidental, and the intuitive mark – both aspects with an element of risk, but also the potential for something exciting and visually stimulating to appear that wasn't originally anticipated.
